Influence of acrylic resin with different surface treatments on the bond strength of the silicon rubber soft lining
Recently, Department of Stomatology, Affiliated Hospital of Jinggangshan Universityresearchers published papers, to observe the polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) of different surface treatments on the bond strength of the silicon rubber soft lining, in order to find a method of improving clinical soft lining adhesive strength between silicone rubber and PMMA is simple and effective, for clinical application of soft liningmaterials theoretical guidance. Research indicates that, in clinical application, the surface of PMMA was blasted to +MMA dual processing and silicon rubber lining, canobtain good clinical effect. This paper is published in the 2014 first issue of "ChineseJournal of modern medicine".
Create and select PMMA specimens (10 mm × 50 mm × 3 mm) 84, with 600 sandpaper in water under the same pressure, according to bond together in the same direction evenly polished specimen end surface (10 mm × 10 mm), ultrasonic cleaning after natural drying. The test piece according to the different treatment methods were randomly divided into 4 groups, respectively, polishing, sandblasting group (control group), MMA group monomer treatment group, sandblasting +MMA treatment group, each group of 21 sheets of 10 shear bond strength test specimen (each specimen was composed of 2 pieces of samples by Silagum Comfort room temperature curing soft lining silicon rubber composition), 24 h after the shear bond strength was measured by electronic universal material testing machine (SBS), the remaining 1 piece for scanning electron microscopy. Data for single factor analysis of variance, Duncan test.
Sandblasting the surface after treatment with +MMA, PMMA and soft lining silicon rubber obtained the highest bonding strength, better than the single treatment group.
